Detective Conan: One-eyed Flashback

Ten months ago, during the pursuit of Mikuriya Sadakuni - a suspect in the robbery of an armory that occurred eight years prior - Inspector Yamato Kansuke was shot near his left eye in the Yatsugatake mountain range. In the present, Yamato and Detective Yui Uehara are investigating a robbery at the Nobeyama Radio Observatory. Meanwhile, Kogoro is contacted by Koji Sametani, a former colleague from the police, who wishes to discuss the avalanche and the pursuit of Kansuke. However, Sametani is murdered before the meeting.

Devastated, Kogoro joins detectives Sato and Takagi and travels to Nagano, where they meet with Yamato, Yui, Inspector Taka'aki Morofushi, and Detective Hayashi from the Yamanashi Police. They also meet Eizo Funakubo, the father of Maki Funakubo, a biathlete who committed suicide after being injured in the same robbery incident. The investigation reveals that Sametani had visited Sadakuni, who was imprisoned due to a plea deal given to another suspect, Takashi Washizu, who is now a fugitive. Conan, present in Nagano, notices the implication of the Public Security Bureau (PSB) and deduces that Hayashi is also an undercover agent.

That night, Yui and Kansuke are ambushed but manage to escape. The group takes refuge in the cabin of a charcoal burner named Takashi Otomo, while an operation supervised by Prosecutor Rikuo Hasebe is deployed.
