Django

In this film the producer, writer and now director Etienne Comar ('Of Gods and Men' or 'Timbuktu'), we find the story of the famous guitarist and composer Django Reinhardt. Reinhardt is known worldwide for being one of the greatest guitarists of all time, and the first European jazz musician to become as influential as the most important American artists, making huge changes to the way of playing the guitar into the jazz community. The film will also focus on his escape from Paris in 1943 because of the German occupation, that persecuted his family. The artist grew up in a gypsy comnunity on the surroundings of Paris, where his maternal family moved when he was eight years old. His way of playing the guitar was on his roots, and that's what he showed to the world.
