Plot

Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels go back to 'Dumb and Dumber To' to reconnect like Harry Dunne and Lloyd Christmas and carry out a new mission: find Harry's daughter he did not know he had and convince him to be his kidney donor because they share the same blood. Harry will require all the help of his inseparable Lloyd, however, he is not in very good physical and psychological condition since Mary rejected him. Harry will have to prepare him before living numerous adventures during the trip. This new film will once again be directed by the Farrelly brothers, Bobby Farrelly and Peter Farrelly ('There's Something About Mary', 'Me, myself and Irene'), who made their film debut in 1994 with the first part.

The recording was to begin in 2012, but it had to be postponed until the spring of 2013 because Jeff Daniels was in the middle of the HBO series 'The Newsroom'.

A prequel

In addition to this sequel, 'Dumb And Dumber' has a prequel, 'Dumb And Dumber: When Harry met Lloyd'. However, unlike the sequel and the original, the Farrelly brothers did not participate.
