Plot
Sina travels to a place on the coast where there are rumors about the appearance of a strange creature in the same sea where Greta lost her son, who disappeared without a trace a year earlier. When they return to sell Greta's summer home, her husband Bruno confirms what the locals say about the mysterious creature.
Directed by Ivan Fund, winner of several awards at the Buenos Aires International Film Festival, the Mar de Plata Film Festival and the Thessaloniki International Film Festival. He has directed films such as 'La risa' and 'Los labios'. He also co-directed the documentaries 'Ab' in 2013 and 'El asombro' in 2014, with Santiago Loza and Lorena Moriconi.
The script for 'Dusk Stone' is signed by Iván Fund himself and Santiago Loza, coming together once again after having worked together on several projects. Martín Felipe Castagnet will also co-write the screenplay.
The film is a co-production by Rita Cine and Insomnia Films in Argentina, together with Globo Rojo Films in Chile. The cast includes Maricel Álvarez ('Biutiful'), Marcelo Subiotto ('Ciegos'), Mara Bestelli ('El invierno'), Alfredo Castro ('El club') and Jeremias Kuharo.
After its production, the film won the Wip (Work in Progress) Latam Industry Award at the San Sebastian Film Festival.
