Eenie Meanie

'Eenie Meanie' is an American action comedy written and directed by Shawn Simmons (creator of tv series 'Wayne' launched un 2019), marking his directorial debut. It is a production by 20th Century Studios for Disney, released on its streaming platform Hulu or Disney+ (Star), depending on the market, on August 22, 2025.

The film follows Edie, played by Samara Weaving, a young woman who, in her teenage years, used to drive getaway cars. Now, having left that past behind, an ex-employer drags her back into this world to save her worthless ex-boyfriend.

Thus, Edie finds herself involved in a casino heist, for which she must evacuate the robbers after the theft. However, as the operation progresses, she begins to realize that perhaps her boyfriend is beyond saving, and she decides to take control of the situation.

In addition to Samara Weaving, the cast of 'Eenie Meanie' includes Karl Glusman, Andy García, Steve Zahn, Jermaine Fowler, Randall Park, and Chris Bauer, among others. The film, shot in Cleveland and other locations in Ohio, has divided critics, with mixed reviews highlighting the absurdity of its entertaining script and the strong performances of the cast, although some critics argue that the film lacks identity.
