In 2002, Spain adopted the euro, and it became a time full of opportunities for the smartest. This is the case for Iván, a young man living in the Madrid neighborhood of Vallecas, who feels that his neighborhood is too small for everything he wants to do. Iván works as a valet at a luxurious golf club in Madrid, where he gets the opportunity to become a courier for a criminal organization, with his first trips being between Brussels and Geneva.

The money makes Iván aim higher and he realizes that the real money laundering is happening in Marbella, where wealthy businessmen, bankers, athletes, corrupt politicians, and the Chinese mafia, among others, are found. Therefore, Iván wants to get into that kind of business.

'El correo' tells the story of an ambitious young man who had nothing and wants to have it all, but not everything is that simple, and the situation ultimately explodes. It is a tale from a period of our recent history that the protagonist will experience firsthand.

The film is directed by Daniel Calpasoro (Todos los nombres de Dios, Hasta el cielo), with the screenplay written by Patxi Amezcua and Alejo Flah. The main cast includes Aaron Piper, María Pedraza, Luis Tosar, José Manuel Poga, and Luis Zahera.
