El secreto del orfebre

Juan Pablo is a prestigious goldsmith who travels to New York from Spain for an exhibition of his work. On the way, he will pass through his hometown, where he makes a stop that automatically transports him to the past and leads him to reunite with a great love that caused a change in his life forever. The plot unfolds between the 1950s and the 1970s and 1999. Two timelines intertwine in this romantic and dramatic story in equal parts.

'El secreto del orfebre' is an adaptation of the novel of the same name written by Elia Barceló. Olga Osorio directs the film, marking her second work in the world of feature films after '¡Salta!'. Mario Casas, who has recently worked on major projects like 'Escape', reunites with Michelle Jenner after 'Los hombres de Paco'. Both co-star in this film, which also features Zoe Bonafonte, whom we got to know in 'El 47', where her work earned her a nomination for the Goya for Best New Actress. Enzo Oliver, for whom this will be his first film, completes the main cast.

A story that transcends time and where love is the most important thing marks Casas' return to the romantic genre after a decade since the release of 'Palmeras en la nieve'. Available in theaters starting February 28, 2025.
