Plot
This animated film tell the story of how was the first journey around the world, based on the story of the Spanish Juan Sebastian Elcano and the Portuguese Fernando de Magallanes in the sixteenth century. This expedition started with a group of sailors making a trip to the unknown and with the objective of arrive to Molucas Islands, situated next to Indonesia. This virgin territory, full of animals and plats that goes further than the imagination, will take this sailors to deal with storms, hunger, natives and all kinds of problems. Only 18 of the 240 sailors that left Seville came back alive.
'Elcano y Magallanes: la primera vuelta al mundo' is directed by Ángel Alonso and written by Garbiñe Losada and Jose Antonio Vitoria. The film has a great soundtrack composed by Joseba Beristain.

The representation of Elcano in the film is younger than his real inspiration to generate a character with a greater dramatic arc.

An old project
Although the production has had three years to take it forward, in reality this project was born 15 years ago with the writers Jose Antonio Vitoria and Garbiñe Losada. But due to the technical deficiencies of the time, they couldn't move forward the production.
