Ángel Alonso and his writers, Garbiñe Losana and Jose Antonio Vitoria, tells with greatness hungry, a story worthy of showing in schools. This required some simplification of the story, but not so much of his characters, who are made to love even when they are so good.

You can not blame this film in terms of artistic ambition, however, as a historical document is so simplistic and manichean, with those Portuguese turned into villains and Elcano transfigured into a kind of Burt Lancaster in 'The Crimson Pirate'.
