Fantastic Four: First Steps

After The Walt Disney Company acquired 21st Century Fox, Marvel Studios once again has control over important characters like 'The Fantastic Four'. The first Marvel family will return to the big screen with a new cast following their two previous film adaptations. It was set to be directed by Jon Watts ('Spider-Man: No Way Home') but he ultimately left the project.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe presents 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps', a title that will take place in an alternate universe. In this occasion, Reed Richards (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm (Joseph Quinn), and Ben Grimm (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) must stop Galactus (Ralph Ineson), a being who longs to devour their world. Mister Fantastic, the Invisible Woman, the Human Torch, and the Thing will receive help from Silver Surfer (Julia Garner), a space traveler who traverses galaxies on a surfboard, to achieve their goal.

Matt Shakman ('WandaVision') directs the film, while the screenplay is written by Peter Cameron ('Werewolf by Night'), Josh Friedman ('Kingdom for the Planet of the Apes'), and Jeff Kaplan ('Bert and Arnie's Guide to Friendship'). Important names such as Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles complete the cast.
