Fine young men

After spending a year away, Alf, 17, returns to his strict Catholic school in an attempt to pick up his life where he left off. However, everything has changed: his former friends—popular, athletic, and deeply influenced by the toxic masculinity of their environment—no longer recognize him as one of their own.

Isolated and conflicted about his identity, Alf begins to feel attracted to Oliver, an openly gay student who faces his day-to-day life with quiet bravery. The connection between them grows amid furtive glances and shared moments, awakening in Alf emotions he dares not name, especially in the environment he finds himself in.

As rumors about his sexual orientation begin to circulate, Alf, pressured by the fear of rejection, struggles to fit back in with his former peers, those immersed in strictly toxic dynamics which shows that there is still a lot of stigmas in society. In a desperate attempt to prove that he still belongs to the group, he commits a violent act that jeopardizes his integrity and that of those around him, causing a lot of damage to the ones he loves.

As he grapples with the guilt and consequences of his actions, Alf is forced to confront who he really is and what he is willing to lose—or defend—to stop hiding.
