Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

'Godzilla and Kong: The New Empire' focuses on a new fight to the death in which Kong and Godzilla must join forces to face a new threat that aims to end the peace of the planet where it hides. At the same time, the film will explore the origins of both characters and show their connection with civilization.

"Godzilla and Kong: The New Empire" is the sixth installment of the Monsterverse following 'Godzilla', 'Kong: Skull Island', 'Godzilla: King of the Monsters', 'Godzilla vs. Kong', and the television series 'Monarch: The Legacy of the Monsters'. Behind the camera again is Adam Wingard, who directed the last feature film of the saga and is responsible for other works including 'You're Next', and the remakes of 'The Blair Witch Project' and 'Death Note'.

The screenplay is written by Terry Rossio, the mind behind 'Shrek', 'Aladdin', and 'Pirates of the Caribbean', Simon Barrett, a regular collaborator of the director, and Jeremy Slater, who has been involved in projects such as 'Fantastic Four' and the series 'The Umbrella Academy' and 'Moon Knight'. The cast includes: Dan Stevens ('Downton Abbey', 'Beauty and the Beast'), Oscar nominee Brian Tyree Henry ('Atlanta', 'Bullet Train'), and Rebecca Hall ('Vicky Cristina Barcelona', 'The Town').
