'Gold' (2018) tells the story of Tapan Das a young man who works as an assistant who dreams of playing in the professional league of field hockey. Tapan Das will begin a journey that will take him to participate in the Olympic Games, a tour that ended with the first Olympic victory of India with its independence from Great Britain. Directed by filmmaker Reema Kagti and starring Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, Farhan Akhtar, Vineet Kumar Singh, Andrew Havill, Richard Cunningham and Amit Sadh with a script wrote by Rajesh Devraj and Sonu Sinha, 'Gold' offers a film centered on the so-called "golden age" of Indian hockey, exploring the history of ascent and overcoming Tapan Das in his Olympic career towards victory.
