Plot

'Goosebumps 2' centers its story on the Quinn family: Sarah (Madison Iseman), her little brother Sonny (Jeremy Ray Taylor) and her mother Kathy (Wendi McLendon-Covey); besides Sonny's best friend, Sam (Caleel Harris). In this new adventure, the monsters of R. L. Stine's novels come to life on the Halloween night when, accidentally, the children free the evil Slappy from an unfinished book by the author. At first, Slappy only wants to be part of the Quinn family, but soon his mischiefs get out of hand and joining other terrifying characters of 'Goosebumps' they will spread chaos wherever they go by turning the Halloween night of a peaceful town in a terrifying spectacle. This sequel to 'Goosebumps' is once again directed by Rob Letterman and written by Darren Lemke.

Trivia Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween

The Haunted Mask is expected to appear in this sequel, mainly considering her role in the last movie wasn't so big. R. L. Stine, the author of the 'Goosebumps' novels saga, makes a cameo near the end of the movie. Both Jeremy Ray Taylor (Sonny) and Caleel Harris (Sam) have been in Stephen King adaptations. Ray Taylor played Ben Hanscom in Stephen King's 'IT', and Harris played young Henry Deaver in Stephen King's 'Castle Rock'.
