I Believe You

'I Believe You' is a Belgian drama about family and motherhood. It places Alice as the protagonist, a woman who must face a judge taking on all the responsibility that entails and with no margin for error. Alice has to speak on behalf of her children and confront their father, risking custody of the little ones. 'I Believe You' navigates the doubt of whether Alice will be able to make her voice heard, whether she will be able to protect them, or if, inevitably, it will be too late for her. 

It is the film debut of Charlotte Devillers, who co-directs and co-writes this movie alongside Arnaud Dufeys, the latter also involved in production. Myriem Akeddiou, Laurent Capelluto, Laurent Capelluto, Ulysse Goffin, and Adèle Pinckaers are the actors and actresses who star in this raw story, so current and timely. 

'I Believe You' is backed by the production company Makintosh Films, and is supported by Belgian authorities such as the Centre du Cinéma et de l'Audiovisuel de la Fédération de Bruxelles and the Belgian Francophone Radio Television. It is distributed by Syldavia in Spain. Its premiere on the big screen is on March 27.
