Plot
The TV producer Glen Topher is a divorced dad whose teenage daughter China is now living with him, during her senior year. Glen takes China to a Hollywood party where he meets his idol Leslie Goodwin, the auteur who has inspired his career.
During the evening, the gossip about Goodwin's preference for underage girls begins to look plausible to Glen when the older man shows an intense interest in China. And when Goodwin invites her to go to Paris with him, Glen has to start doing some serious parenting.
'I love you, daddy' is a comedy-drama film written and directed by Louis C.K and starring himself, Chloe Grace Moretz, Pamela Adlon, John Malkovich, Rose Byrne, Charlie Day and Helen Hunt.

Unexpected circumstances
The film's premiere, planned to be held at the Paris Theatre, was canceled at short notice just hours before it was set to take place after reps for the premiere cited "unexpected circumstances."
Score down
According to Metacritic, at one point the film had a high 70%. After sexual misconduct allegations against Louis C.K. came out, the film's score decreased to 56%.
