Plot
'Ice Road: Vengeance' is an American action thriller written and directed by Jonathan Hensleigh. It is a sequel to the 2021 film. Like the first part, it stars Liam Neeson, Fan Bingbing, Bernard Curry and Salim Fayad. Produced by CODE Entertainment and Envision Media Arts, the film is set to premiere in the United States on June 27, 2025.
Mike McCann is a professional ice trucker who lost his brother Gurty in the events of the previous film. Now, McCann travels to Mount Everest to scatter his brother's ashes. Upon arriving in Kathmandu, Mike hires the services of Dhani, an experienced guide to reach Everest aboard the Kiwi Express. Also boarding the bus is Vijay, the son of Ganesh Rai, a local opposition politician who is against the construction of a hydroelectric dam in the village.
Two mercenaries, Jeet and Yuug, also get on the bus, looking for Vijay. Spike, the guide and driver, tries to take charge of them but soon finds himself forced to abandon his position. Now it is up to Mike McCann to save the group from almost certain death at the hands of these mercenaries.
'Ice Road: Vengeance' was filmed in various locations in Australia. The vast majority of critics panned the film, whose streaming rights in the United States are held by Netflix.
