The first trailer, which first premiered in front of 'Five Nights at Freddy's' (2023), consisted almost entirely sound effects over a blank screen, encouraging audiences to use their imagination.

Inspired by 'Poltergeist'

Director Jeff Wadlow said that this film was inspired by 1982's 'Poltergeist'. "It perfectly strikes the balance between scares and that benign feeling of wonder, excitement and excitement that you get when you have a family that you care about."
