Plot
Daniel is a schoolmaster in a coal-based French town. The closing of the mines has affected de local economy and the situation for the working-class neighborhood. He tries to help 'his' children although their problems are out of his scope but he feels responsable. One day, a drunk woman arrives to the school and abandons her sons there. Daniel decides to take care of them even if almost everyone opposes to him.
