Plot
'It Snows in Benidorm' is the new thriller of Catalan director Isabel Coixet and features Peter Riordan, played by Timothy Spall ('Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street', 'Mr. Turner', 'Secrets and Lies' ), a lonely man obsessed with meteorological phenomena. After the early retirement they give him at the bank where he has worked all his life, in Manchester, he visits his brother Daniel in Benidorm. Upon arrival, he realizes that his brother is missing and that he owned a cabaret in the city. Alex works at the club, with whom he works to find out everything that has happened with his brother. They are accompanied by a police officer obsessed with everything that has to do with Sylvia Path and her stay in Benidorm in the fifties.
Isabel Coixet is a director recognized for 'My life without me', 'Elegy', 'The secret life of words', 'Map of the sounds of Tokyo' or 'Elisa and Marcela', among others. She is the winner of seven Goya awards and several international awards in Berlin or Venice. The cast is made up of Timothy Spall, Sarita Choudhury ('La joven del agua'), Carmen Machi ('Aida'), Ana Torrent ('Tesis') and Pedro Casablanc ('Police, in the heart of the street'). The film is produced by the brothers Almódovar, Pedro and Agustín, and Esther García.
