Plot

Pierre and Paul are an homosexual couple who splits up. Soon after, both decide to leave everything behind and undertake a four days and four nights journey in separate ways on the road with the single company of their mobile phones and Grindr, a famous dating app for gay users along with which these main characters will have the opportunity to maintain odd encounters with mysterious strangers. However, Pierre will also use the app to come back to Paul's arms.

Jérôme Reybaud doesn't consider the "gay film" label to fit with "4 Days in France"; because he thinks that a "gay film" needs more than 4 minutes 40 seconds of sex scenes between homosexuals.

The birth of a film

The film borns out of two elements: On the one hand, La Croix-des-Gardes, a French neighbourhood located in the west of Cannes on a hill that works as meeting point for homosexuals in other to maintain sexual encounters. On the other hand, the theme of the couple portrayed as a separation.
