Kaala

The Dhavari slum, in Mumbai, is the new home of those who migrated from the Tirunelveli District of Tamil Nadu. Haridey Abhayankar, also knows as Hari Dada (Nana Patekar) and who was previously a gangster, is the new Union Minister and he's trying to evict the neighbours from the place to keep the land of Dharavi to himself. In order to achieve it, Haridey will come up with a plan with the help of Vishnu Bhai (Sampath Raj): he promises fully furnished homes to those who live there, everything through a Government schem. However, Karikaalan, alias Kaala (Rajinikanth), who is the leader of the Dharavi slum, intercedes to protect the area and keep the houses for his people. Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend Zareena (Huma Qureshi) returns from Africa, being now the head of an NGO with the objective of improving the life quality and standards in Dharavi. Tragedy will hit the place when, in one of the attempts to kill Kaala, his girlfriend and elder son end up dead.
