Language Lessons

Natalie Morales directs and stars in 'Language Lessons', a dramedy also featuring Mark Duplass, who pens the script with her. The story centers in Adam (Duplass), a man who gets Spanish lessons as a gift from his husband. The teacher, Cariño (Morales), is on the other side of the webcam. A traumatic situation will join them more than Adam was expecting. 'Language Lessons' was recorded during the pandemic and was nominated for Best Movie in the Berlin Film Festival in 2021. It won the audience award in the SXSW Festival and the Provincetown Film Festival. The film is described as an study of platonic love with honesty, a lot of emotion and a touch of dark comedy.
