Plot
'Choosing My Life' is a French drama directed by Amélie Bonnin, based on a script written by the filmmaker along with Dimitri Lucas. The feature film, which marks Bonnin's directorial debut, tells the story of Cécile, a young woman trying to achieve her dream: to open her restaurant. She is about to achieve it just when her father suffers a heart attack, forcing her to return to her birthplace, a small town very far removed in every sense from the chaos of Parisian life. In returning to her town, her past also returns, along with an old teenage love. Memories begin to surface and all her certainties waver, causing Cécile to slightly lose her way.
The actress Juliette Armanet takes on the role of this Cécile, joined in the cast by other actors such as Bastien Bouillon, François Rollin, Tewfik Jallab, Dominique Blanc, Mhamed Arezki, Pierre-Antoine Billon, Amandine Dewasmes, Solal Lucas, Eric Mariotto or Maciej Tomaszewski.
' Leave One Day' was nominated for four César awards, including best first feature, best leading actor for Bouillon, and best supporting actress for Dominique Blanc. It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival as the opening film out of competition and arrives in Spanish cinemas on March 20.
