Lena

First film directed by Gonzalo Tapia. Since she was child, Lena has been accustomed to being alone and taking care of herself. Her mother died when she was a little girl and her father has no job and earns his living with unlawful bargains and businesses, besides, he is a drunk. Despite this, Lena tries to maintain a mental balance. The girl lives in Vigo, in the port neighborhood of Bouzas, a place where youth unemployment is too high and there is no chance of escaping. When Lena turns 18 years-old, she sees that she has become a mature and responsible young woman who, despite everything, she loves her father and forgives his outrages. Finally, her father tells her that he has found a job, something that brings great joy to his daughter. Lena believes that, at last, the fate of her family will change. However, it's all a big lie, her father has partnered with the local mafia, with whom he has a major debt. Fearful that her father will be dead, Lena will have to face the situation, losing the little innocence she had.
