Lovers

Lisa and Simon are inseparable. They have been madly in love with each other since they were teenagers. One day a tragedy occurs and Simon runs away leaving Lisa behind. She waits in vain for news of him until, three years later, she marries another man, Leo. Some time later, their paths cross again on an island in the middle of the Indian Ocean.

Official Selection at the Venice Film Festival. Excellent film noir with erotic overtones directed by César winner Nicole Garcia ('From the Land of the Moon'). Starring Cesar winner Pierre Niney ('A Perfect Man'), Stacy Martin ('High-Rise') and Cesar winner Benoît Magimel ('Little White Lies').

The screenplay has been written by the director herself with Jacques Fieschi (also credited as writer in 'From the Land of the Moon'). The main cast includes the already mentioned Pierre Niney, with Stacy Martin, Benoît Magimel, Christophe Montenez, Grégoire Colin, Roxane Duran, Mohamed Makhtoumi, Severino Negri.

It is produced by Les Films Pelléas. It is also a co-production between Mars Films, France 3 Cinéma, Impala and Pauline's Angel; with the participation of Canal+, Ciné+ and France Télévisions. Distribution is handled by Wild Bunch Distribution in France and A Contracorriente Films in Spain.
