If you go into ?Meeting Gorbachev? expecting a hard-hitting look at the fall of the Soviet Union, you?ll be disappointed. It's telling that Herzog ends his piece with a look at the relationship between Mikhail and his wife Raisa. It?s the human element of this world leader that he?s trying to tap, without ever feeling manipulative or sentimental about it.
