Mercy

In the near future, Chris Raven (Chris Pratt), a renowned police inspector wakes up tied up without knowing how he got there. In front of him is Judge Maddox (Rebecca Ferguson), an avatar of an advanced A.I. program. What has happened for him to be seated in front of her?

Due to a high crime rate, the governors decided to implement the MERCY program, a judicial system governed by artificial intelligence created by the inspector himself.

Raven is accused of having killed his wife, and the evidence points to him. With access to the municipal database, thanks to the A.I., he must prove his innocence or he will be executed immediately.

During the process, he discovers secrets about his wife that he was unaware of. An infidelity, deceit, and smuggling; hidden from Raven's eyes until now make him question how well he really knew her.

As he investigates, he finds inconsistencies; he cannot make sense of defending himself against the murder of his wife. Above all, why is the system he created doing this to him? He discovers that there was a hidden motive, his wife was not the target, but him. New threats and a timer that is about to run out. Raven must find a way to save himself.

''Mercy'' premieres on January 23 in Spanish cinemas.
