'Michael' recovers the iconic pop star, a Michael Jackson beyond music, whose childhood and journey would mark everything that came after. This is a new dramatic-musical biopic in which we will get a glimpse into the life of the famous artist, his creative ambition, and that desire to establish himself as an icon for culture and the entertainment industry. Behind the direction of 'Michael' is Antoine Fuqua, who brings to the big screen a script by John Logan, inspired, of course, by the real events of Michael Jackson's life. 

The one who will portray this iconic star is Jaafar Jackson, a nephew of Michael himself, son of the fourth Jackson, Jermaine. This is Jaafar's debut, as he has developed his career more as a dancer than as an actor. Alongside him, Juliano Valdi will play a young Michael, in his musical and experiential stage with the Jackson Five. The cast is joined by Colman Domingo, Nia Long, Miles Teller, Kendrick Sampson, Kat Graham, Laura Harrier, Larenz Tate, Derek Luke and Kevin Shinick, among others. 

The film is produced by Lionsgate and GK Films and is distributed by Universal Pictures in the United States and Spain. 'Michael' hits our theaters on April 24, 2026.
