Elmer is a little boy who sees his little world come crashing down. His mother's grocery store, located in a pleasant town, closes due to the many debts that his mother has acquired. The two are forced to sell the store and move from the town to the great metropolis, Evergrey City. Sad that he won't be able to get a new grocery store, Elmer follows a mysterious cat, who leads him to the town's pier, where a magical whale takes him to Wild Island, where he meets a mysterious dragon whose mission it is to stop him. the island sinks.
