Directed by Imanol Uribe and based on the novel by Antonio Muñoz Molina. Events occur in a small provincial town happens a horrible and brutal tragedy, a little girl has appeared savagely murdered in the woods. The case is assigned to a police inspector who has taken several years living in the Basque Country and that just arrived in the region. The tormented cop obsessed with the horrific event and will travel the streets looking at the glances, because the murderer has a look characteristics. The murder shocked the small city and make the lives of people related to the victim change drastically. A Man and a Woman decide to meet and the man are reflected on a dark past that haunts him.
