Ride Above

Zoe, who was born and been raised among horses, lives a very happy life with the goal of become a great horse rider like her father in the future. Zoe's favorite horse gives birth to a colt named Tempest. She will be the first to see in this colt the champion her entire family has been waiting for a long time. A horrible accident leaves Zoe with serious consequences, only her tenacity and the love of Tempest will be able to make her recover.

The horse, Tempest, is one of the most important characters in the film, which is why the movie deepens into it and gives it a very defined personality like the rest of the characters. Tempest is spirited, has a temper and is recognized from afar by her pale mane. It was very difficult to find the exact dye, the manes of the seven or eight horses that play Tempest had to be bleached. A very strong relationship exists between Zoe and the horse.

'Ride Above', an adaptation of the novel 'Tempête au haras' by the writer Christophe Donner, is a film directed and written by Christian Duguay ('The Art of War', 'Screamers', 'A Bag of Marbles'). The script is not done only by him, the author of the work on which the film is inspired, Christophe Donneru, and Lilou Fogli have also worked on the script.
