Plot

The legendary director Cecil B. DeMille directed 'Samson and Delilah' adaptation of Chapters XIII to XVI the biblical book of Judges and the novel 1926-1927, 'Judge and Fool' by Vladimir Jabotinsky. Set in ancient Israel in 1000 B.C. After so many years, the people of Israel is enslaved by the Philistines. Their hopes were put in Samson, the strongest man of the tribe of Dan, who is in love with the Philistine Semadar. Semadar is who wins a contest of strength, getting to stand out from everyone. Still, Samson receives the betrayal of Semadar, causing a fight to the death between him and Semadar's true love, Ahtur, and his soldiers. Semadar ends up being killed, so her sister Dalila promises to take revenge against Samson, although she's in love with him. Her plan: to seduce the hero to reveal her the secret of his strength and then take him to the Philistine leader, the Saran.
