Sarbjit

Omung Kumar directs this biopic of one of the most important figures of India, Sarabjit Singh. A farmer who lives in Bhikiwind in Punjab, near the border between India and Pakistan. Sarabjit Singh's life changes dramatically when a couple of drinks make him crossing the border, being accidentally identified as a political spy, being condemned to death for treason against the nation. The film will show the fight of his sister, Dalbir, a woman who fought to free her brother, starting a campaign to prevent him die in prison. We will see the closeness between siblings and how Dalbir used every effort to free him. Finally, Sarabjit was killed by his guards in prison, when Afzal Guru died in India.
