School of Magical Animals

Live action adventure with CGI animated animals about an unusual school where children are given a magical animal as a companion. The film centers on the new girl, Ida, who goes from outsider to star student thanks to her magical animal, the talking fox Rabbat. Ida has had to move to another city and is now the "new girl" at Winterstein School. She has a hard time in the new class because Helene makes sure that Ida has little chance of making friends, and she only has one place left on the first day of school: next to stranger Benni.

One day, her teacher introduces the children to Mortimer Morrison, a man who travels the world in search of "magical animals." Each of these animals is destined to become the soul mate of a child. Of all people, ironically newbie Ida and outsider Benni are the first in the class to have magical companions and they will become inseparable friends forever. From now on, Benni has at his side the old and wise turtle Henrietta and Ida the cunning fox Rabbat. When objects start to go missing at school, the boys, girls and magical animals must team up to solve the mystery.
