Shelter

'Shelter: The Protector' is set on a remote island far from everything. There, a man lives in exile. He, after a violent and dangerous storm, manages to rescue a girl. Although not everything is as beautiful as it seems, this event triggers a series of events that puts both in serious danger. The destinies of the two protagonists come closer and intertwine, and Mason, the exiled man, will try to protect her at all costs. Past and present meet in this action thriller and the final mission will be survival.

Jason Statham takes on the role of this protector, while Bodhi Rae Breathnach will be Jessie, his ward. The cast also includes figures such as Michael Shaeffer, Anna Crilly, Bill Nighy, Harriet Walter, Eugenia Caruso, Celine Buckens, Naomi Ackie, Laurent Buson, or Bally Gill, among others.

'Shelter' is directed by Ric Roman Waugh and has a screenplay by Ward Parry. It has received mixed reviews, many praising Statham's performance while others have a more negative view of the script or the film's narrative.

It comes from the distributor Diamond Films and premieres in Spanish cinemas on March 27, 2026.
