Spencer's Mountain

The Spencer marriage and their nine children, are the third and fourth generations of Spencers who have lived on Spencer's Mountain, situated in a Virginia?s valley.

Like all generations who grew up there before, they do not have much money and education, but they are really hard workers, so the marriage composed by Clay (Henry Fonda), and Olivia (Maureen O'Hara), struggle to bring up their family and to deal with the economic problems they face. In addition, they are very loved and respected in the small village, so neighbors will help them in every posible way they can.

Clay has a dream which is getting enough money to build the house of their dreams, because they still living with his parents, and he also wants to contribute in the education of his eldest son, the first member of the Spencer family to ever graduate from High School. Will the marriage get what they proposed?
