Sully

'Sully' is the latest film made by veteran actor and director Clint Eastwood. The film, starring Tom Hanks, Aaron Eckhart and Laura Linney among others, is based on the true events that occurred in January 2009 when a U.S. Airways Flight was forced to make an emergency landing on the Hudson River after a flock of Canadian Geese crashed into both engines of the plane. Chesley Sullenberger, the pilot of the flight, was the one who decided to go ahead with the emergency landing. There was no chance of returning to the airport due to the sever engine damage, however the risky decision to conduct an emergency landing paid off as Sullenberger's actions helped save the lives of the 155 passengers.

The film focuses on the American hero that turned a tragedy into a miracle. Frank Marshall and Kathleen Kennedy are co-producers of the film alongside Eastwood and Hanks.
