The Aquatic Effect

Samir (Samir Guesmi), a forty-odd crane operator in the Paris region who falls madly in love with Agathe (Florence Loiret Caille), a young woman who is trying to get rid of a jerk. Learning that she is a swimming instructor at the the Maurice Thorez swimming pool, he decides to approach her with the excuse of taking swimming lessons. His first steps on the way to getting to know her are successful and they are on the verge of giving themselves to each other when an incident happens, revealing that not only is he a good swimmer but an excellent diver as well. She hates lies and also liars. He has been exposed. Reconquering her will not be a pleasure cruise for the forty-odd crane operator, Samir.
