Plot

Danni Balint (Ryan Gosling) is a young man that studies in a jewish school in New York City, but at the same time that his education is strongly linked to that religious environment he starts to be a prominent neo-nazi leader in his city. 'The Believer' shows that contradiction between the religious heritage that has been acquired without his consent and his absolutely opposed beliefs. This drama received the Best Feature award at the 2001 Sundance Festival, and pushed Gosling to a serious dramatic actor career.
