In a future where human race and artificial intelligence ara at war, Joshua, an ex-special forces agent that's grieving the disappearance of his wife, is recruited to find and kill the "Creator", the evasive and mysterious architect behind AI that has developed a powerful weapon that can end war... and also mankind. Joshua and his team of elite operatives go inside enemy lines until they reach the dark heart of AI's territory, to discover that the weapon that can destroy the world is an AI in the form of a young child.

The film is directed by Gareth Edwards, director of 'Rogue One', 'Godzilla' and 'Monsters'. He co-writes with Chris Weitz, producer and writer that has worked in films such as 'About a Boy', 'The Golden Compass' and 'Antz'. The movie stars John David Washington, who was nominated for the Golden Globe for his performance in 'BlacKkKlansman' and has starred in the Christopher Nolan movie 'Tenet'. He's also been part of 'Malcolm & Marie', 'Amsterdam' and 'Beckett'.

In the cast we also find Gemma Chan ('Eternals', 'Crazy Rich Asians'), Ken Watanabe ('Inception', 'Letters from Iwo Jima'), Sturgill Simpson ('Dog', 'The Hunt'), Madeleine Yuna Voyles in her cinematographic debut and Allison Janney ('The Help', 'I, Tonya').
