Plot

This political satire ridicules and criticizes the American modus operanding on terrorist investigations through the figure of Moses Al Shabaz (Marchánt Davis), a small-time preacher who tries to spread his particular view of religion and God, as well as a message of African nationalism, through the troubled streets of Miami. This work leads him to establish a relationship with an alleged terrorist from the East who offers to finance his campaign against the American government. However, the Americans themselves are the ones who have hired this man so as to arrest Moses and show off another national victory, even if it is an actual fake, in his fight against one of his main enemies, Islamic terrorism. When the victim begins to defend himself, the government hires the FBI agent Kendra Glack (Anna Kendrick) in order to silence these revolutionary ideas and thus, achieve the objective of taking advantage of this man to offer a good public image, which will be more difficult than planned because of the irreverent and shameless character of Moses and his entire band. And, in fact, the pacifist message and the image of a good, loyal citizen of Moses place him in a more favorable situation for society than the American government itself.
