The Kiss

Anton is a young man who is preparing himself to fulfill the greatest dream of his life, to be a cavalry officer. During one of the training sessions with his platoon, he will meet Edith, a young woman who has suffered an accident and who will change Anton's life forever.

Bille August directs 'The Kiss'. He is a Danish filmmaker who won the Palme d'Or in Cannes two times, the first one in 1988 and the second one in 1992. August, in addition to directing,, also writes the film's script, a role he performs alongside Greg Latter. 'The Kiss' is a film adaptation of the novel 'Ungeduld des Herzens' written by the Austrian author Stefan Zweig and published in 1939.

Among the different works of Bille August, who has contributed in a big way, since the late 1980s, to the good image that Danish cinema has outside the country, works as a director and screenwriter, we find 'The House of the Spirits', 'Pelle the Conqueror', 'Twist and Shout', 'Zappa' and 'In My Life'. Some of his most recent projects are 'A Fortunate Man', '55 Steps', 'Silent Heart' and 'Night Train to Lisbon'.

The main cast is stared by Clara Rosager, Esben Smed, who has already worked before with the director Bille August, David Dencik, Lars Mikkelsen and Rosalinde Mynster.
