Plot

The Demeter is the Russian ship that appeared in the seventh chapter of the most famous novel written by Bram Stoker and that was used by Dracula to travel from Carpatia to England. The crew picked up a weird shipment of twenty four heavy wooden boxes that had to be delivered straight to London. What in the beginning seemed like a normal journey soon turns into a sinister episode of terror in which, in addition to feeling the presence of an strange man in the ship, the members of the crew start to disappear. 'The Last Voyage of the Demeter' follows a doctor, the first official, and the captain of the ship, and also a stowaway that clearly chose the wrong ship.

The film is directed by André Øvredal, director of films like 'Trollhunter', 'The Autopsy of Jane Doe' and 'Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark'. The script is written by Bragi F. Schut and Zak Olkewicz based on the book written by Bram Stoker.

The cast includes actors Corey Hawkins ('Straight Outta Compton') as Clemens, Aisling Franciosi ('Game of Thrones') as Anna, Liam Cunningham ('Game of Thrones') as Captain Eliot, David Dastmalchian ('Suicide Squad') as Wojchek and Chris Walley ('1917') as Abrams. We also have the horror master Javier Botet acting as the horrifying Dracula.
