The Map That Leads to You

'The Map That Leads to You' is a U.S. romantic drama directed by Lasse Hallström. It is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by JP Monninger, with a screenplay adapted by Vera Herbert and Les Bohem. The film is a production of Temple Hill Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios for the streaming platform Prime Video, which will premiere it worldwide on August 20, 2025. It is starring Madelyn Cline and KJ Apa.

Heather Mulgrew is a recent graduate who, before starting her professional career at a bank in New York, decides to take a trip across Europe with two friends, Amy and Connie. On an overnight train to Barcelona, she meets Jack, a New Zealander who is following in the footsteps of his great-grandfather, who participated in World War II on the continent.

As they travel through various places in Spain and Portugal, Heather and Jack fall in love, until the time comes for Heather to return to New York, and Jack asks her to stay a little longer with him. However, during the trip, an unexpected event in Jack's life changes the course of the couple.

In addition to Cline and Apa, the film features Sofia Wylie and Madison Thompson as Connie and Amy, Heather's friends, Orlando Norman as Raef, and Josh Lucas as Greg, Heather's father. The film, which was mostly shot in Tarrasa, Spain, has received mixed reviews.
