Plot
Charlie plays a poor violinist. He is forced to leave his job and ends up near a gypsy camp where he plays his violin for a girl who is washing clothes. When the girl spills the wash and is berated by the gypsy chief, Charlie and the girl escape. On their way they meet an artist who paints the girl's portrait, who later exhibits the portrait and it becomes famous. A rich woman recognizes the girl as her long lost daughter who was kidnapped.
