Plot
Amy (Amy Schumer) is a woman who lives her life in a wild, free and without any explanation way. Because of the past actions of his father (Colin Quinn), Amy has a commitment phobia and tries to avoid any lasting relationship that may arise in her way. Professionally her life couldn't be better, because she's writing for a magazine, and emotionally she couldn't be happier while enjoying casual relationships without feeling any remorse. The only problem is that, although Amy doesn't know it, she lives in a constant routine, which is broken when Aaron (Bill Hader) appears in her life, making real the possibility of raising a serious relationship for the first time.
Judd Apatow directs this film written by Schumer herself.

Trivia
Amy Schumer's original screenplay called for a "Tilda Swinton Type" to play her boss at the men's magazine. Judd Apatow called up Tilda Swinton and offered her the part. Apparently, Swinton is fan of Apatow and was looking to join his comedy universe.
Judd Apatow contacted Amy Schumer to make this movie after hearing an interview in which she was really funny and intimate while discussing the troublings of her father's illness.
Chris Rock was on the set when LeBron James's scenes were filmed and he came up with several of the lines that James says in the film.
