Nominated for Goya for Best Latin American Film, the Marilyn Solaya's opera prima is based on a true story and is set in Havana in 1994. Rosa Elena, a mature woman in her 40s who works as a nursing assistant and also takes care of her father sick, just she got married with Ernesto, a head of a Construction engineer Brigade. Tired of life that is taking and look forward to a change, decides to sing in the male choir where she worked before she met her husband. However, a great secret of the past will be relieved when Rosa Elena comes back the chorus, causing a wave of intolerance that will destroy everyone who has worked so hard to build. That's when the woman knows in their own flesh a violent patriarch and macho structure that corrodes all it touches.
