Vivo

'Vivo' tells the story of a Capuchin monkey with an eagerness for adventure, and with a big passion for music. This Capuchin monkey makes a long and a very unsafe journey from Havana to Miami to make his dream come true: to become a really big star of a show.

'Vivo' is an animated musical adventure that has a completely original soundtrack composed by Lin-Manuel Miranda, the creator of the very successful musical from Broadway 'Hamilton', whose musical styles is going to give to the movie a very unique and contemporary touch and sound.

This story is also about the music and the friendship, a storyline that will lead the audience to an epic adventure with gorgeous and vibrant locations that have never been seen before in an animated film.

'Vivo' is directed by Kirk DeMicco ('Space Chimps', 'The Croods') and Brandon Jeffords, who is known for working in the art department in movies such as 'Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2', 'Hotel Transylvania 2' and 'Smurfs: The Lost Village', among others. The story comes from the imagination of Lin-Manuel Miranda and Quiara Alegría Hudes ('In the Heights') is in charge of the script.

Currently is on the phase of preproduction and its release date is set to April 16th 2021 in the United States.
