While the Women Are Sleeping

'While the Woman are Sleeping' is a novel by Spanish writer Javier Marías. The film is based on the story and deals with the story of Kenji Shimizu, a writer who is in a hotel spending a vacation with his wife. While she works, Shimizu will try to find inspiration elsewhere.

In the swimming pool of the hotel you find a striking couple: an elderly man accompanied by a very young woman. So much is the interest that this couple arouses in the writer, who begins to follow them. This obsession will cause you some trouble than others, such as situations where you should not be present.

The film is directed by Wayne Wang and starring Takeshi Kitano. In the cast are Hidetoshi Nishijima, Sayuri Oyamada and Shiori Kutsuna.
